The Circus Ship Online Interview

Hi guys. Third interview in one day? I'm spoiling you guys! Here's one with The Circus Ship. Read on to find out how they formed, what their plans for 2016 are and what messages are in their songs:

How did you guys meet one another?

The band consists of DIsa, Dan, Harald and Nils. We all met in Glasgow but 3 of us are from Sweden originally while Dan is from Scotland.

How was the band name created?

The band name came about because of an upcoming first gig and we had to decide a band name for the poster. Harald suggested The Circus Ship which is the title of a children's book and we just liked the name.

How would you describe the music your band creates?

We are still figuring out what type of sound we are creating, but it would probably be described as punky guitar based pop music. We enjoy a rougher sound to our recordings and try our best to not over produce anything.

What are some of the themes and messages that come across in your songs?

There are different themes dependent on the song and it could be everything between political opinions to love, which might be the same thing really...

What are your plans for 2016?

In 2016 we will try and get some more music recorded and play some gigs, we don't really have a plan.

Where can people find you on social media?

People can find us on facebook or on soundcloud/bandcamp/spotify. Just search for the name.

Finally, if there was only one album you could listen to for the rest of your life which one would you choose and why?

I don't think I am in the position to decide on an album that all 4 of us will listen to for the rest of our life but velvet underground never gets old.
